Location: Public Works Operations 2280 Miccosukee Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308
Work Time: Monday through Friday from 8:00am-12:00pm.
Duties: Summer Youth positions will work with Operations Supervisors and Work Control Coordinators and learn the basics of what Public Works does for the community. Summer Youth positions will also participate in administrative activities to support Public Works.
Work will be performed in an office setting as well as outdoors.
Skills: Students will learn basic administrative skills and learn more about how Public Works supports the community in Leon County.

Job Title: Purchasing Property Control Admin Assistant

Work Time: Our office is open from 8a-5p Monday-Friday. We can work out a schedule that fits everyone's needs while reaching the required maximum hours for the program.
Duties: Sorting paper files to scan into PDF files and electronically saving those PDF files into Asset folders.
Skills: Heavy Computer Skills – using a Copy Machine Email system to scan paper files and send to an email address, downloading those files from Outlook emails and moving those files to a specific location, saving files with very specific file names (attention to detail for all steps).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Using a Copy Machine: to scan via email option. Heavy Computer Skills: downloading files, saving files, moving files, naming files. Attention to Detail is required. Ability to following instructions and execute tasks with or without supervision (person should be self-starter – accountable for completing task – not afraid to ask questions – focused/driven).

Job Title: Resource Stewardship Pre-Storm Preparedness Intern
Location: 1907 South Monroe S.
Work Time: Flexible schedule, minimum 10 hours a week and maximum 25 hours a week (Monday through Friday). Minimum shift duration of 3 consecutive hours.
Duties: Capture pre-storm photos of County facilities at mapped locations using the ArcGIS Damage Assessment Tool app. Document multiple angles of each facility and all relevant assets to establish a comprehensive baseline photo set. Travel extensively to County facility sites as required. Ensure all collected photos are accurately uploaded and accessible in the GIS application for emergency reporting purposes.
Work independently while adhering to project deadlines and department priorities.
Skills: Strong technical skills and familiarity with GIS or mapping applications. Experience in photography and photo documentation, with attention to detail. Proficient with smartphones/tablets and mobile applications for field data collection. Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel to County facilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
