Job Title: B.L. Perry Library Summer Youth Assistant
Location: Dr. B.L. Perry, Jr. Branch Library
2817 S. Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301
Work Time: Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Duties: Help locate books on the send lists and pull book hold requests. Help search for missing library materials, including books, DVDs and other items. Assist with summer reading programs, story times, and other programs. Help clean and maintain library materials and equipment.
Skills: To sort and shelve books and media alphabetically and numerically by call number and author’s last name. Excellent customer service skills through direct patron interactions. Effective and professional communication skills by interacting with staff and library

QUALIFICATIONS:
Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Stand for long periods of time. Bend over, stoop, reach overhead, and push heavy carts filled with library materials. Tolerate dusty environments. Accurately organize items alphabetically and numerically. Follow directions and respect others. Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Demonstrate attention to detail.

Location: Leon County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe St. Ste. 502
Work Time: Our office hours
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The youth will primarily perform tasks at the Leon County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe Street.
Duties: Youth will write news releases and advisories and social media posts, help plan and implement public events, document events and activities with photographs and video, and general aid in carrying out the day-to-day operations of the CMR office.
Skills: Use Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign); use a camera and edit photos; coordinate a successful public event; record and edit a video; write social media posts and schedule them through Sprout Social; and successfully work on a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Attention to detail in writing and editing; and punctuality, professionalism and willingness to learn and contribute.

Job Title: EMT/Paramedic Youth
Location: 911 Easterwood Drive, Tallahassee FL 32311
Work Time: Youth will work allotted hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM,
Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend opportunities for ride-alongs. Hours are flexible based on program guidelines and availability.
Duties: Assist in inventory management, including stocking and organizing medical supplies. Support logistics staff in maintaining EMS vehicles and restocking essential equipment. Observe and learn about EMS operations, including emergency response and patient care protocols. Assist in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering phones. Participate in ride-alongs to observe EMTs and Paramedics delivering both basic and advanced life support while transporting sick and injured patients.
Skills: Basic knowledge of EMS operations and logistics. Organization and inventory management skills. Teamwork and communication in a professional setting. Problem-solving and critical thinking in an operational environment. Professionalism and workplace etiquette in a government setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in emergency services, healthcare, or logistics. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team-oriented environment. Must be punctual, responsible, and willing to learn. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information. A positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to the team.
