Science Advisory Committee
The Committee provides collective input to staff on the following:
- scientific findings and conclusions of County sponsored and other published research to determine the adequacy and soundness of methods and results from the research;
- the ecological condition of lakes, groundwater, and environmental resources and on the impact of urbanization on natural features;
- direction for future research by County agencies and through the water quality monitoring program;
- recommended policy changes, management strategies and needed programs to better enhance the water quality in our community; and
- various other topics of a scientific nature at the direction of staff.

Focus Group
The members of the Science Advisory Committee are scientists or individuals who can comprehend qualitative or quantitative information on matters being discussed by the Committee, with a preference towards credentialed scientists.
Report to the County Administrator and/or Environmental Services Director on environmental issues, as necessary.
