Must be a Leon County resident.
12 total members:
7 at-large members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners with each Commissioner making one appointment.
5 ex officio members:
7 at-large members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners with each Commissioner making one appointment.
5 ex officio members:
- one member of the Collins family, selected by the family
- the President of the Friends of the LeRoy Collins-Leon County Public Library
- the Director of Florida State University’s Florida Center for Reading Research or designee appointed by the Director
- the Dean of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University’s College of Education or designee appointed by the Dean
- the Developer of Instruction Technology for Leon County Public Schools or designee appointed by the Developer
